Vacation 2010

We have had a wonderful vacation. I feel truely blessed to be given this week as a gift. Our life has been very stressful lately and yes, the stresses have begun again now that we are home. But this past week, was a gift.

We surprised the kids on Friday and picked them up from school to start the trip. They thought we were leaving on Sunday. The kids did really well traveling. They loved watching all those movies. See those beautiful sunglasses on me. I lost those when a wave knocked me down :(
Christian is using the port-a-pot. This saved us at least a couple of hours. I never again want to go on a long trip with out one. It is so convenient to just climb in the back of the van instead of having to stop. We all used it except Daddy; however, Christian was the only one we humiliated by taking a picture!

After making it all the way to Atlanta, GA we finally got a hotel.

More traveling........

We finally made it. We stayed at the All Star Movies Resort!
Christian and Taty got a 1st Visit Pin

Family Check In Picture! We are finally ready to start our vacation!

We stayed at the Love Bug Building! How fitting since Chris and I were celebrating 15 years of marriage.

Christian giving Daisy some flowers.

Christian and Taty inside Mickey's Hat. Taty is wearing a backpack that she decorated on the way to Disney. Christian had one too, but not wearing it in this picture. I bought Ocean stickers and they decorated these backpacks on the way. They used these to carry their money and purchases. Taty had saved over $80.00 and Christian saved over $50.00. I decided I liked going on vacation with them having their own money. They were the ones that had to decide if the purchase was worth it!
Chris and I went to Disney World on our honeymoom. This is the building we stayed at.

I took Chris' picture at this tree on our Honeymoom.

And here we are 15 years later. WOW!

The first night we ate at the same restaurant that we ate on our Honeymoom. It was a neat way to start the trip.

Taty got a create your own Sundae. She loved it. Chris and I had the most wonderful pecan pie! The Disney Dining Plan is the best. If you take a trip to Disney- get it.

We then went back to our resort and the kids swam in the pool.
The next morning we had our Character Breakfast. They gave us a pager to wait for our table and Christian took the pager went over to this couch, took off his shoes and proceeded to wait for our table. It was hilarious!

Some flowers in the resort where we were going to eat breakfast.

Minnie!

Daddy embrassing Minnie!

Donald and Goofy!

After breakfast, we rode the Disney Bus to the Magic Kingdom!

We were pleasantely surprised to see they were decorated for Halloween.

The Magical Castle

We got there just in time to see a parade. The music was so playful. It just made you happy.

Taty bought Mickey Mouse Ears that looked like Ice Cream. She got a lot of attention with these. Minnie even noticed her during the above parade.

This band was totally awesome. The trumpets played some very high notes. Chris was very impressed. The kids got pulled from the crowd to wave some American Flags. It was so awesome.

Woody and Jessie

The Island of Tom Sawyer

Entrance into a cave on the island

This bridge moved up and down as you walked on it.

Tom Sawyer's Tree House

Mountain Roller Coaster. This coaster was so much fun. I think we rode it 3-4 times. We went at the most wonderful time. We probably didn't wait more than 25 minutes for a ride. Mostly, we walked right on. If there was a wait, there is this magical thing called the fast pass!

They got to be Guest Conductors on the train. They got to say "All Aboard" on the microphone.

The 'Haunted House'

Above, our 3-D experience. Below, Winne the Pooh ride.

He is crazy!

Minnie's House. We took their picture in front of her fire place because we always take their picture in front of our fire place.

Minnie's Desk

Minnie's Kitchen

Mickey's House

Chris liked Goofy and Donald's remolding job of Mickey's kitchen.

Then we got to meet Mickey and Minnie

The kids playing in Donald's boat.

Taty got her face painted. She looked really cute, but then her face broke out.

My chipmunk race car driver!

Concentrating

Daddy and Bubby

The castle at night and fireworks. This was the best fireworks display I have ever saw. There was music and words to match the fire works. It was just awesome.

Underneath the Castle

The magic street. I absolutely love this picture. I think it just shows the magic!

Taty's Mickey Mouse balloon. Bubby got some cars, but we didnt' get a picture of them.

Waiting for the bus to go back to our room. Both kids fell asleep on Chris on the bus. We were all tired!

This was the first full day of our vacation at Disney. The next day we went to Epcot. Will blog about this later.
